Any worker employed in the railway sector in Kenya can join RAWU-K. This includes employees of Kenya Railways Corporation, Railway Training Institute, Marine Training Institute, Magadi Railways, Afristar Railway Operation, and other railway-related organizations.
Membership fees are based on a small percentage of your basic salary, as stipulated in our constitution. The exact amount varies depending on your salary scale, but it's designed to be affordable while ensuring we can provide quality services to all members.
Once you submit your application, our membership committee reviews it within 3-5 working days. You'll receive a confirmation email and your membership card within 2 weeks of approval.
As a RAWU-K member, you'll receive legal representation in workplace disputes, collective bargaining for better terms, training opportunities, access to our global network through ITF affiliation, and protection of your employment rights.
